What does Quran and hadith says about dates?

Prophet Mohammad (be peace upon him) says, "Indeed in Dates there is a cure". And also mentioned "One who will take Ajwa dates in the morning, will not be effected by the poison and magic". And also said, "Break your fast by dates as it is purifying".
In Islam also mentioned date fruits for a pregnant women. For a pregnant women the best food is date-fruit, specially when she is giving birth.
Why Muslim prefer dates on Ramdan?
In the month of Ramdan dates are common fruits or ingredient, which we people have at iftar and also in sehri.
Having dates In iftar is very good for a body because having dates after long gap of fasting will increase the glucose level in the body which glucose level in body will return to the normal. And also dates are rich in fiber, carbohydrates, potassium and magnesium. And also good in sugar and vitamins Which can deal with low blood sugar and headaches which causes in fasting.
Prophet Mohammed(s.a.s) used to break his fast with dates. If there were no dates then they would take 3 sips of water.
